Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Butter and flour two 9-by-5-inch loaf pans.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and oil, mix well.
- Mix in the eggs and pumpkin.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
- Blend the dry ingredients along with the water into wet mixture, alternating.
- Divide the batter between two loaf pans.
- Bake until cake tester or toothpick comes out clean, about 1 hour.
- Let stand 10 minutes.
- Remove from the pans and cool.
